Phase I data show Theravance LAMA GSK1160724/TD-4208 safe in COPD patients

Posted on July 15, 2008 by crimsoncanary

Theravance have announced Phase 1 data showing its long acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA), GSK1160724/TD-4208 to be safe and well tolerated in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Partner GSK have, however, informed Theravance that it intends to return the LAMA program to Theravance because the current formulation of TD-4208 is incompatible with GSK’s proprietary inhaler device.
