Phase IIa data released by PsychoGenics show its lead partial 5-HT1A – 5-HT1B receptor agonist eltoprazine to demonstrate efficacy in adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The compound reduced the ADHD-RS-IV total score of 42% from baseline compared to placebo (p<0.051).

The FDA has approved Seroquel (quetiapine fumarate) for the maintenance treatment of patients with bipolar I disorder. Seroquel is already approved by the FDA for the treatment of schizophrenia

AstraZeneca have submitted a supplemental NDA for Seroquel XR for the Treatment of Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD). The drug is already launched for Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia.
