AstraZeneca and Targacept present Phase IIb data on AZD3480 in Alzheimers Disease

Data from a Phase IIb clinical trial of AZD3480 in Alzheimer’s Disease were found to be inconclusive. Primary outcome measures were not statistically significant for either donepezil or AZD3480, however improvements were shown on secondary outcome measures ADCS-CGIC and MMSE.

Palatin and AstraZeneca amend melanocortin receptor research collaboration

AstraZeneca have submitted a supplementary NDA for Symbicort (budesonide/formoterol fumarate dihydrate) for the treatment of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Symbicort is already approved for the long-term maintenance treatment of asthma.
